A logo system for smartVES, VESdirector and the ICO/ISE product family

Expanding Ambient System's product portfolio with the new smartVES system, the VESdirector app, and a growing family of ICO/ISE intercoms called for distinct identities for each line — without breaking brand consistency. I designed three logotypes that work together as one visual system.

Context

A GROWING PRODUCT LINE NEEDED NEW, CONSISTENT MARKS

Ambient System was expanding on several fronts at once: smartVES launched as the successor to the older MULTIVES PAVAsystem, VESdirector arrived as a new management application, and the ICO/ISE intercom family grew to include industrial, cleanroom and server-side variants. Each line needed its own identity — but none could look like a separate brand.

Execution

THREE MARKS, ONE VISUAL LANGUAGE

For smartVES, I designed a logotype that nods to its MULTIVES lineage while introducing a more modern character. VESdirector — an application rather than a device — got its own distinct icon. The ICO/ISE family shares one pictogram, with individual variants (ICO Cleanroom, ICO Industrial, the server-side ISE units) distinguished only by name — instantly readable as one product family across different use cases. Each mark was designed around its production method: screen printing on smartVES devices, engraving or print on ICO/ISE housings, and a digital version for the VESdirector interface.

Result

A CONSISTENT IDENTITY ACROSS DEVICES AND MARKETING MATERIALS

The three logotypes now identify separate product lines while staying part of one coherent Ambient System brand. They work on the devices themselves and across marketing materials — brochures, catalogs, leaflets and social media posts — staying consistent across every format.
